Relax with the Sound of Silence

There are many great ways to relax but one of the best ways is to focus on quiet time to help your body relax and recoup from everyday stress.

Stop and pay attention to all the sounds around you. There’s a lot and sometimes it’s hard to drown it out and sometimes it can become overwhelming and we long for that moment of quiet. We all become used to all the noise that we don’t realize the effects it may have on us. Relax with Silence

Spending a few minutes alone in quiet can make all the difference on how you feel. Some may find sitting alone in silence hard to do but it can be an experience you learn.

Here’s an experiment you can try. First, go to a quiet room in your home and close the door. Choose a place you can sit comfortably. Next, close your eyes and breathe deeply. Focus on your breathing and also listen to it. You may become distracted with sounds from outside or even inside your home but just ignore them. As you continue to breathe deeply, relax you body and then breathe as you normally do. You’ll notice the stress and tension slowly leaving your body. You should now be rejuvenated and totally relaxed. You just spent a few minutes in silence and it wasn’t hard was it?

There are many instances you can take to sit and relax in silence even though you have very busy days. Find those precious few moments to relax and feel its wonderful effects immediately.

If you’re not able to find a quiet room to sit in, you’ll be happy to know there are other places you can attain the same effect. Try a walk in a park or just try sitting under a tree. A morning cup of coffee on your patio or even a nice beach watching the sun rise is a great way to relax and relieve your tensions.

Many of us aren’t used to being in a world of silence but even if you can put aside a few minutes of relax time, you’ll benefit for a lifetime.
