6 Ways to Boost Your Weight Loss

You want to lose weight and you want to lose it fast. As you’ve probably found out, most fast weight loss plans don’t work and they can also be dangerous. So how do you lose weight fast without any dangerous side effects? If you ask the experts, you follow a healthy food plan, exercise and increase your metabolism so you can burn more calories. If you follow these 6 ways to boost your weight loss, you’ll rev up your metabolism so you will lose weight fast and safe.

1. Eat breakfast. Your body is already starving from your night of sleep so why continue to deprive your body of the food it needs? When your body doesn’t have the food it needs when you skip breakfast, it goes into a “horde mode” instead of burning the calories you want to burn. A lot of studies found that people who eat breakfast are slimmer compared to people who don’t. Always eat a healthy breakfast every morning.

2. Eat small meals and snacks throughout the day. You only slow down your metabolism if you extend the time between meals. You want to eat a healthy meal every 3-4 hours. Instead of eating 1 or 2 huge meals, choose 4-6 small meals and snacks throughout the day.

3. Keep yourself active. You easily boost your metabolism by doing 30-40 minutes of aerobic activity at least 4-5 days a week. You can increase it more by also including strength training. What’s really interesting is how muscle burns fat. This is even true when you’re sleeping!

4. Add some spice. Studies have found that adding red pepper to your diet boosts metabolism. They found that when athletes added red pepper to their food, their resting and active metabolic rates increased.

5. Drink your water. It’s important to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep your body hydrated but it also helps weight loss by keeping you full. Another study found that drinking water can also increase your metabolism by an additional 30%.

6. Get the right amount of sleep. Many people may already know that you’re more likely to gain weight if you don’t get the right amount of sleep. Sleep boosts metabolism and regenerates muscle tissue while less sleep slows the rate your body burns calories. To keep your metabolism where it should be, get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night.
